Gas Prices in All 50 States Back Above $3 a Gallon

According to the latest data from AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report, the national retail average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the U.S. stands at $3.48, nearly 12 percent more than a year ago.

Most Expensive States
  1. $4.18 - Hawaii
  2. $3.87 - Alaska
  3. $3.79 - New York
  4. $3.78 - Connecticut (tied)
  5. $3.78 - California (tied)
Least Expensive States
  1. $3.01 - Wyoming
  2. $3.06 - Colorado (tied)
  3. $3.06 - Montana (tied)
  4. $3.09 - Utah
  5. $3.11 - Idaho
It's only the beginning, gasoline will continue to climb as will other prices. However, if you, like Paul Krugman, focus on diaper prices instead of gasoline prices, there is no problem. But, try stuffing a diaper in your gas tank.

  3. In Sweden, gas prices are twice as high so if we had your prices we would bring out some champagne and celebrate.
