Maine Prevents Ron Paul Victory Because of "Snow"!!

This is amazing, the Ron Paul campaign has issued the following statement regarding the Maine caucus vote.
Tonight the campaign of 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul sent an email to supporters regarding today’s caucus results from the state of Maine. See below for a portion of comments from Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Manager John Tate.

“Ron Paul will win the most delegates out of Maine tonight.

“In fact, he will probably even win the ‘beauty contest’ straw poll the media has already called for Mitt Romney – even before all the votes have been tallied.

“In Washington County – where Ron Paul was incredibly strong – the caucus was delayed until next week just so the votes wouldn’t be reported by the national media today.

“Of course, their excuse for the delay was ‘snow.’

“That’s right. A prediction of 3-4 inches – that turned into nothing more than a dusting - was enough for a local GOP official to postpone the caucuses just so the results wouldn’t be reported tonight.

“This is MAINE we’re talking about. The GIRL SCOUTS had an event today in Washington County that wasn’t cancelled!

“And just the votes of Washington County would have been enough to put us over the top.

“This is an outrage. But our campaign is in this race to win, and will stay in it to the very end.

“Congressman Paul’s message of liberty and Constitutional principles is resonating with Americans everywhere who are sick and tired of the status quo establishment, and we plan to take this campaign on to ‘Super Tuesday’ and beyond.”
Here's the exact forecast for the "snow" during the caucus hours:
Snow will be light and confined to mostly coastal Maine and southern New Hampshire this morning. The heavier precipitation will remain well offshore and fall harmlessly over the ocean.

  1. That "GOP official" is a known Romney supporter, natch. And you gotta love how the State GOP boss, when announcing the "winner," made a point of saying that all votes counted later wouldn't really count. What a bunch of rat bastards.

    1. BBC Newsnight reporter Greg Palast (an American from California) has done an excellent job of revealing the mechanics of how elections are stolen in his books "Armed Madhouse" and "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy". Basically, he says the process involves tampering with the voting process in counties and precincts where the vote is close. In the case of Washington County, Maine, we have a Ron Paul stronghold shut down because of an ambiguous snow forecast. The fix is in, my friends...BIG TIME!!!

  2. "Several communities elected to hold their caucuses later, but those votes won't count." due to 'snow'...

Do we have free (and fair) elections? No, we don't. Prove me wrong.

  3. Did they conveniently leave out of their statement that two other counties were holding their caucuses after Feb. 11th to make it seem more conspiratorial, especially since most people aren't really paying attention to the Maine caucuses? There was no conspiracy to keep Paul from winning, and the votes in those 3 counties might not be enough to overcome Romney's margin of victory.

  6. I learned this lesson several years ago and quit supporting the state by not voting. (My vote, as well as yours, doesn't count for anything.)
Not withstanding the above, I may vote this year for Ron Paul just to add insult to the powers that be.

  7. No one but Paul. We have to make it clear to everyone that if Paul is not the nominee, many votes in the November election will disappear as so much mist.

  8. What's so surprising about this? Goodness gracious, the purple-fingered elections we "sponsored" in Iraq were a joke and only surpassed by the supreme joke that was the Karzai "election". And how much did that election directly cost the US?

Come on this is child's play to the elites. Granted it's pretty transparent child's play, but shouldn't surprise anyone.

  9. Bob, I love RP more than most, but from what I understand, RP needed 194 more votes to win. However, in 2008, only 113 votes were cast from Washington County (8 went to RP). So, how can we claim a RP victory was prevented, when there is logically no way he would have made up the 200 some-odd votes from Washington County?

    1. Washington county wasn't the only one delayed

  11. The snow appears to come from the GOP itself . . . If that is true it is a lot more than just 3-4 inches. I guess that goes for Iowa as well.
Perhaps some of these officials are way overdue to be retired or replaced.
I think it would be nice if we at least had the "appearance" of a fair vote with all people represented. I really think elections should at least appear to be honest.
