  3. Love the logic of all this. "Terrorists" harm innocent people in pursuit of their agenda. Therefore, "terrorists" must be eradicated. In order to eradicate terrorists, I must harm innocent people. Therefore, I am justified in harming innocent people in pursuit of my agenda.

    Or, as this argument is sometimes paraphrased: USA! USA!

The government simply cannot grasp that all this does is foster a greater sense of nationalism in the Iranian people and further bolster the current regime - It gives the people a common enemy to focus their attention on ( America ). Anyone with any sense knows that the government wants to go into Iran to defend the petrodollar anyway. The nuclear threat is a convenient excuse.
