They Are Going to Listen to Everyone of Your Phone Calls and Read Everyone of Your Emails

The bastards never quit, they just change the name of the project. Wired magazine reports:
Under construction by contractors with top-secret clearances, the blandly named Utah Data Center is being built for the National Security Agency. A project of immense secrecy, it is the final piece in a complex puzzle assembled over the past decade. Its purpose: to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world’s communications as they zap down from satellites and zip through the underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks. The heavily fortified $2 billion center should be up and running in September 2013. Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital “pocket litter.” It is, in some measure, the realization of the “total information awareness” program created during the first term of the Bush administration—an effort that was killed by Congress in 2003 after it caused an outcry over its potential for invading Americans’ privacy.

 Utah Data Center

You will have no secrets from the government. Your only moat of protection will be standard government ineptness and bureaucracy.

  1. So we'll get a no fly zone and international peacekeepers soon with calls for Obama to "step down", right?

  2. Pretty large moat imo.

  3. Frankly, I've assumed that the bastards have been reading (or, at least, analyzing) all emails for more than a decade (anyone remember Carnivore?) and I've been reasonably sure that the same is true of the phone systems, so this doesn't come as a surprise.

The bastards are building themselves one hell of a police state, but how long will it last once the FRN collapses?

Hilarious, true, and scary all at once. I happen to be a federal worker and experience the ineptness, incompetence, and just plain laziness every single day.

    1. Well stand up and make waves. Gather some of your Patriots (if there are any left) and Make the differance for 305 MLN brothers and sisters. If you do not you will live like a dog coward for the rest of your dazes and when the close down the booze stores and drug traffic how will you fall asleep. Just Do It!

  5. Bain Capital has a division helping the Chinese government spy on its citizens. Think how much business President Romney could send their way...

  6. This doesn't scare me, Bob. Apathy about it? Yes, that's scary.

I still believe that The Elites are too far behind the 8ball to make even something this powerful actually work. It is bureaucracy. It is behemoth. It is a dinosaur.

  7. Technology will win this battle against the government.

You can already have perfectly secure email or other text communications with public/private keys. (the fact that anyone writes anything over email that is sensitive and does not use public/private keys blows my mind)

It's just a matter of time intil a program comes along that works under the same key concept that works with VOIP and webchats.

And proxy networks like tor will keep you anonymous. The government is fighting a war they can not win. The more they push, the harder and faster they'll be pushed back .

    1. Please explain what are public/private keys, and how can I set them up?

      Thanks

    1. the numbers can be associated with you if you have a similar use profile (numbers dialed, during which times). even easier with emails.

as for processing the data, its a mostly-solved problem, but it needs the hardware resources (hence the data center) and some human assistance (hence the x5 NSA employee explosion over the past decade).

  9. I think this is an elites wet dream and that's the problem: It's a dream. If this thing is such a deeeeep daaaark seeecret of a place, then why the front page story in Wired? It is obviously meant to intimidate. Intimidation is usually the sign of a hidden weakness. I am not saying it is a total bluff but it is likely not everything it is reported to be.

  10. There are too many emails and communications to analyze them all one by one, they scrub them through computers looking for patterns and key words, and occasionally pulling one or two here or there.

There are lots of things you can do to increase privacy: encrypt, speak/write cryptically, use code, use faux accounts, or simply talk to people the good old fashion way.

While I am not thrilled that they are doing it, I am not that concerned. Its just something we need to be aware of, and adjust to. Think OpSec 24/7 baby!

    1. This is what the gov't wants is not to keep us registered so there can be miscounts on votes and manipulation of votes. They keep all the peasants, the Americans Citizens busy, creating their media blitzing and fights over party claims, blah blah blah, while they rape and tax us.

  12. Some of you are so asleep. You ask why the government want to do this? Simple - CONTROL. If they know everything you do it will help them once they have put martial law into place (http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/executive-doomsday-order-obama-authorizes-gov-to-seize-farms-food-processing-plants-energy-resources-transportation-skilled-laborers-during-national-emergency_03182012). Do they have the means - yes. They have the most sophisticated computers on the planet and will soon be able to do quadrillions of calculations per second. This means that they can easily store and manipulate data on all Americans. We are f****d.

Its my understanding, that when its illegal for one country to do something, they pay another country to fulfill their mission. When the news reported on Ëchelon was announced once they never reported on it again. Its my understanding that the collection of phone calls and e-mails has been going on through working with Australia through the program called Echelon for years. When a country gives up its freedoms for safety it achieves neither.

  15. They cannot even protect the border.
But they can control selectively - if you get on their list.
So who would control the lists?
And who would control the controllers?
    Some globalists elsewhere?
But those could get a surprise by hitting the Great Wall of China.
End of the old globalists is near.

    1. It is so sad it has come to this. I have never been so afraid before for our country. If the president gets re-elected there will be an uprising that will be a back lash against government policies. It is not just Democrat or Republican, it is all of them. They have spent the US into the crapper and sold out the future generations to come. ....
