FOX Decides to Report on Ron Paul (They must really be nervous)

J.M. emails:
I just watched Shepard Smith and Carl Cameron discussing Ron Paul's latest delegate victories in Maine and Nevada. Shepard sarcastically mocked Ron Paul's supporters who claim he still has a chance, and Cameron sneered at the camera and stated that it is "mathematically impossible" for Ron Paul to win. They briefly discussed his victories in Maine and Nevada, but claimed that there is still no chance Ron Paul will be anything other than a speaker at Romney's convention. Carl Cameron also claimed that those delegates in Nevada that are Paul supporters would not vote for Paul on a second ballot if somehow Romney did not win a majority on the first ballot!

Also, the topic of a floor nomination from winning five state delegate pluralities was brought up, but Cameron dismissed this as not being very likely since he expressed doubt Paul would even win five states because many of these Paul victories are in places where delegates are bound to vote for Romney. The interesting thing about that is Carl Cameron admitted Paul would have five states as victories the other day on Foxnews:

I guess much like Paul Krugman and the other members of the DC establishment, it is hard to keep their stories straight when they are busy deceiving the American public.

What is interesting is how in the past Foxnews has done its best to ignore covering Paul -- or even intentionally show the reaction to the previous year's CPAC straw poll vote since it was far more negative -- yet now they are giving him coverage? It is clear that they are very concerned at exactly what is taking place with Paul's efforts in the GOP race, not to mention basically ignoring how the Paul supporters are taking over the state parties. Why else would they be bringing back the talking points that Paul can't win and none of this matters? If what Paul is doing now does not matter, why were they covering it?

  1. In a way, I think it's a blessing they don't cover this. Leave the sheeple in the dark so the Ron Paul supporters can operate more easily. Hopefully, the msm and the people who watch them won't be able to react until it is too late.

    2. Well, it was a blessing until the idiot Benton decided to destroy all momentum, energy, and press coverage with his press release.

  2. I'm proud to say I was at the Reno-Sparks convention this past weekend and it was a grueling but wonderful experience. Grueling because it was from 8:30 AM and went on till almost midnight, mostly spent on trivial minutia. Then it adjourned to meet the next morning. I had to get back to Las Vegas the next day so I missed the magic moment when the results were announced but I did get to vote for the Paul delegate slate.

The Romney people did cheat either by bringing in fake delegates or bringing in "guests" who were at first in the same room as us and were trying to participate in voice votes and hand counts. A Paul delegate by the Name of Wislet Rouzard was the hero of the moment who objected to this. There was a big argument between him and the GOP bigwigs Jordan Ross, and some woman by the name of Rice. The latter two did everything to make him sound paranoid and assured us of the integrity of the process and the honesty of those managing it.

But Wislet would have none of it and eventually, they agreed to recheck all IDs after the lunch break.

I'm not sure what happened after that. All I know is that before lunch it seemed that Romney had the numbers. After lunch, we did. Before lunch the Romney people were trying to be conciliatory. After lunch they were pretty pissed off.

Whether or not Paul has a chance in Tampa is totally besides the point. The point is that the freedom movement is taking over the machinery of the GOP from the ground up. If Ron doesn't win now, we will be putting Rand in a much better position in 2016.

    1. In the 1930s the highly disciplined US Communist Party practiced what was called the "iron bottom" strategy at the numerous political and coalition meetings they attended. This mean "arrive first and leave last." This ensured that they wouldn't be out maneuvered by their many enemies. The Paulians at various caucuses would be well advised to emulate this tactic.

  3. They talked about this again at 6pm on Foxnews. This time Cameron claimed the Maine delegates are bound to the results of the straw poll, which is a complete lie.

  4. How these MSM creeps sleep at night is baffling.

No matter what happens, the wheels are comming off the old GOP bus.

No matter what happens, in 2016-the fed, wars, spying on us Americans will be the talking points for the GOP FRINGE! They won't stand a prayer.

They know it, and we know it.

F$$k'em. That will be their last hoorah!

    1. They sleep at night because, as L. Neil Smith put it some years ago, the "media" are the lowest rung of the entertainment ladder.

Those few who actually investigate, who actually think about what they're doing, either end up like John Stossel or off writing books somewhere.

No wonder why they are so nervous! I had not thought of this:

"Paul’s highly organized campaign continues to amass what Mr. Putnam labels “stealth delegates” – delegates pledged to Romney, or one of the withdrawn GOP candidates – who are personally in favor of the libertarian congressman from Texas. It’s hard to determine how many such folks Paul has, or what they’ll do in Tampa.

For instance, what if Paul supporters who are bound to vote for Romney in the first round by state rules simply abstain from casting their ballots? That might keep Romney under the 1,144 votes he needs to win the nomination – even if he actually (sort of) has those votes in hand!

“This is a tricky maneuver, but not one that is prohibited by the Republican Party delegate selection rules,” writes Putnam in a lengthy post devoted to the ways Paul could make trouble for Romney."

This is starting to spread even in the MSM, and they are all getting very concerned. Those stories, along with the foxnews coverage today, signal that there is major trouble for Romney.

Even as a third party candidate, paul draws 13% against obama and romney. That is amazing considering how the country is told to always pick between the two big parties. I think it shows more and more people have seen the matrix thanks to ron paul and are starting to think outside democrat vs gop.

  10. This post is BS period. FOX has given Ron Paul 10 times more air time then any other network. The same is true for his son. Look it up...

    1. Cavuto and the Judge used to bring Paul on all of the time for a few minutes. Surely you aren't factoring that into the same thing as news coverage! That was more than balanced out by just about every other host and opinion person on foxnews trashing and lying about Paul.

There is no way fox gave ten times as much actual news coverage as the other networks. They are all roughly the same, and Jon Stewart already demonstrated that perfectly.

As far as actual news coverage this cycle, Foxnews has been known for this:

      http://www.mediaite.com/tv/fox-news-airing-of-old-cpac-footage-showing-crowd-booing-ron-paul-was-a-mistake/

And just yesterday, Carl Cameron looked into the camera on the 6pm show and stated that Maine has binding delegates and the delegates have to vote for Romney. A complete and total lie that is FALSE, just like most of the coverage of Paul by the neo-con network.

    LOL

Obviously these clowns failed both elementary school math and civics classes. Well, they work at Fox so it's not surprising.

  12. As a Non US individual person (-US Election regulations) we can't contribute financially, but like so many we would love to help Congressman Paul to secure the White House, not only to save America, but to ensure Freedom in the world. We all want Liberty, not Tyranny. PLEASE vote to send Ron to Pennsylvania Avenue. At this stage any alternatives (either party) are consequentially nefarious to the future of our little blue planet & the "eternally" free people who inhabit the same.

  13. We are starting to see why Foxnews got out early with a spin job for its allies in the Romney campaign and the RNC. Now it appears that Arizona is going to join the list of Paul dominated state parties, and Oklahoma probably would have if the GOP had not shut it down WWF style.

This is happening all over the country, in state after state. Money can't win activism and devoted followers like this, but ideas and principals can. Maine, Alaska, LA, Washington state, Iowa, Nevada, MA, Minnesota and now Arizona possibly to go along with stories about Missouri and Colorado????? Is Romney going to get the number of delegates to clinch? The GOP and Romney people are clearly terrified that he may not now thanks to Paul.

  14. So strange that after the coordinated media attacks and spins and Paul delegate wins that this ridiculous announcement is made by the Paul campaign staffers. I have no idea what is going on there, but it isn't good.
