Republican Convention Ron Paul Delegate Ruckus

Joshua Lock emails:
Robert you must cover this!

I was a delegate to the Oklahoma convention personally. The Republican establishment closed off the section with Tulsa County that held a massive majority of Ron Paul people, The convention was reconvened outside in the parking lot of the Embassy Suites.

Update via The Examiner:

The GOP in Oklahoma has some explaining to do.
As of this writing, the GOP convention in Oklahoma is being continued in the parking lot because the temporary chair ended the convention illegitimately before a roll call for delegate selection could take place. Party rules state that a convention can be ended if two thirds of the attendees approve dissolution. Apparently that did not happen, but the temporary chair adjourned anyway before scheduled business was completed. Consequently, a group of disenfranchised attendees decided to continue the proceedings outside (video) in what is known as a Rump convention (see below).

Author's Note: The Chairman Elect that is seen in the embedded video used the term, Rump Convention to describe the process that continued in the parking lot. Other observers believe that term is incorrect. According to their view, this was merely a continuation of the convention in a different location.

Instead of conducting a roll call vote, which is required by Party rules, the chair asked for a voice vote for a predetermined delegate slate that was favorable to Mitt Romney, despite objections from the floor. The reason provided for this decision according to the chair, apparently oblivious to influence from the audience, was that ‘It was the way they always did it’. This appears to be a clear case of Establishment GOP corruption because the insiders wanted to select a slate of delegates that was not supported by the majority of attendees at the convention

  1. This is why Ron Paul will never be president, the establishment is too afraid to let him pick up the delegates he so desperately needs to win it.

Please, if there is a god, please let me be wrong about this. It's the only way our country stands a chance of becoming a capitalist nation. Otherwise, we will fall like ever other "great" empire has.

  2. How much are these obstructors of justice getting paid by Romney's owners for their work?

  3. This is why Romney will not win in November. Paul supporters will not vote for him and he cannot afford to loose that many votes. All the Republican establishment is doing is putting Obama back in the White House.

    1. Anon @7:49

I feel you are right. And after Obama gets back in office, stories of how the "Ron Paul People", are to blame will be spun over and over.

    2. I was at the caucus in Ma. The guy couldn't even drum up enough support to get his delegates elected in his home state. The establishment has had their own little club for far too long. By ignoring the will of the people, they have called us forth. If RObamaney has so much support, where are they? Why can we outnumber them at every state convention? There is no hijacking or arcane rules. We just have more votes, because we have more poeple there. Simple numbers. "Party Unity" just means voting for whoever your criminal masters in DC and Wall st tell you to vote for. We The People have had ENOUGH. We will RISE UP and we will FORCE change. They work for us, remember? And we can fire them and replace them. And that's exactly what we are doing.

  4. I attended the 1st VA district convention on May 12 and we were able to secure 2 of the 3 delegates at the convention. Luckily, there were no shenanigans and I consider it a victory for Ron Paul.

  5. Better four more years of Obama then letting Mitt Romney take office. The Revolution is not going away, and if we want another chance in 2016 we cannot have Romney in the White House. Keep that in mind when somebody tells you that you are giving the election to Obama.

    1. Agree, the tipping point will be reached with the reelection of O if RP fails to get the nomination in November. The seeds of his intellection rEVOLution has been sown and still being sown for a bright and future harvest.
