Commerce Secretary Investigated for Multiple Hit-and-Run Accidents

Commerce Secretary John Bryson is being investigated by law enforcement officials for allegedly causing two traffic accidents over the weekend, one of which left him injured.

A police spokesman from the San Gabriel Police Department said Bryson was cited for a felony hit-and-run after the two incidents on Saturday in California, CNN reports.

Bryson received non-threatening injuries from the accidents and was treated at a local area hospital before he was released.
A police report cited by CNN said Bryson had been driving a Lexus and rear-ended another vehicle which was stopped a t a railroad crossing on Saturday night.

The Obama Commerce secretary allegedly spoke to the occupants in the other vehicle, before leaving the scene, in the process striking the other car again.

He then allegedly struck a second vehicle driven by a couple in the neighboring city of Rosemead, CNN said.

    1. Let's wait until all the facts are in. He's innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. The court of public opinion well that may be another story.

    2. Slap on the wrist? He's stimulating the economy! Think of all the new jobs in the auto industry and public sector the administration could create if they hire enough bureaucrats to ram government cars into private vehicles.

I wouldn't be surprised if this guy is promoted as the new "Cash for Car Repairs" czar. All the semi-conscious mouthbreathers are at the TSA, but finally we'll have a program to put all the unconscious mouthbreathers to work.

  2. Maybe he was trying to get away from the budget scandals swamping the National Weather Service?
