Girls, 12 and 13, Shot in Rahmaland

Just a bit more 24 hours after Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel pleaded with LBJ's great grandkids to take their gone battles into the alleys, two young girls were shot in a city where only the bad guys carry guns.

The Sun-Times has the sad story:
Two girls were wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in the Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side

A 12-year-old and 13-year-old were outside in the 1300 block of West 117th Street when they were shot just before 8 p.m., police said.

Police said they did not have any information suggesting that the girls were the intended targets.

The younger girl was shot twice in the abdomen area and was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Tishona Polk, 13, was shot in the buttocks and taken to Roseland Community Hospital. Tishona was expected to be released Tuesday night.

Tishona was walking with the younger girl and a couple of others when she was shot, said Polk’s mother Mildred Shorter, 35.
Rahmalnad is becoming an object lesson in the idea that it is a myth that government protects.

  1. You are deluded to think this lesson will be learned by any publicly educated person. Au contraire. More police, more taxes, more laws.

  2. If ever there was a poster child for the God given right of every law abiding citizen to carry a firearm, it's Chicago. To think for one minute that the authorities will show up to protect you is lunacy. Oh they talk a good game, but in the end all they do is show up after the fact, draw some chalk lines, and pick up the body parts... Their useless (gutless?) Mayor says, "Take it into the ally" insdead of "If you kill our children, WE WILL KILL YOU BACK" - ZERO TOLERANCE!

The good citizens of Chicago either need to get a carry permit law on the books in a hurry or get used to attending the funerals of their kids. What a sad sign of the times that the great city of Chicago has been reduced to this...
