The attack described below occurred just blocks from Chicago's "magnificent mile" shopping area on Michigan Ave. When the sun goes down until 11:00 PM, it is not unusual to see five or six police per block on Michigan Ave.
However, if Rahmites wander just a block or so, it is generally safe, but LBJ's great grand kids can come roaring through, like a summer thunderstorm, and take out a few teeth. The LBJ gun shootings usually occur on LBJ turf, where Rahmites never tread and where every fatherless thugged-up LBJ great grand kid carries his own unregistered gun.
It is incidents like this that are the strongest arguments for allowing -- even encouraging -- citizens to carry guns (I am assuming that they are 'banned' here). Yes, it will require us to go through a few tragic deaths -- never desired -- done in self-defense from these kinds of thugs. Yes, it will require us to go through a few more "Trayvon Moments" (what a laugh that uproar was...) but it's the way forward.
ReplyDeleteAlternatively, stay the heck away from corrupt places like this -- relocate if you can. These kinds of problems seem to be concentrated in 'urban' areas.
I predict a Bernie Goetz incident in the near future.
ReplyDeleteNews outlets show the victims in all their humiliation, yet conceal the identity of the attackers, never once hinting at particularly malicious motivation. But, when the racial roles are switched, it's all about the identity of the victim AND the attacker, and how race CERTAINLY played a part. Of course it would not matter if the Nazis of Chicago hadn't legislated away self-defense. Let's see what happens when peaceful folks start regularly carrying .45s and tasers.

ReplyDeleteThose gun laws sure are keeping the streets safe, aren't they? Safe for the thugs, that is. The thugs don't have to worry about being shot, so it is easy for them to go up and attack the average sissified "civilized" american male who abhors violent acts of self defense.

The state must love this, keep the snivelling sheeple terrified and baying for their protection while a handful of thugs the state itself empowers obfuscate the contrived nature of the situation.
