New Yahoo CEO is a Big Donor to Obama and DNC

Thanks to an anonymous commenter below, who points out that Marissa Mayer, the newly named CEO of Yahhoo, is:
according to Politico.com pretty 'political.'

Enjoy those Yahoo News selected articles that make the banner page(which are all most visitors bother looking at on most any site).

"Mayer, 37, is a longtime Google executive who has participated in Democratic political fundraising drives. In 2010, she held a fundraiser at her house for President Barack Obama and has given to Obama annually since 2007. Last year, Mayer contributed $35,800 to the Obama Victory Fund 2012. Mayer is an active Democratic fundraiser. In 2011, she gave $30,800 to the Democratic National Committee. In 2010, she gave two donations of $30,400 to the DNC, according to Open Secrets.

She also has bundled between $100,000 and $200,000 for Obama for America and Obama Victory Fund 2012, according to the Obama campaign."

  1. I don't know if you noticed Wenzel, but that dude you interviewed a while back that worked for Goldman Sachs and now runs "Gator Capital" donated to Obama too.

  2. Sadly, many of the "big names" in Silicon Valley worship at the altar of the state. It's a mind disease over there.

    1. It's based on the belief that Democratic liberals are "open minded" to technology while Republican conservatives are bible thumping luddites. Granted most of us that read this blog realize the iron fists of the state bleed both blue and red.

    1. Sad, and in some way. But silence or defeat should not be appeased.

  4. So Yahoo thinks her political connections will save it or perhaps result in some sort of bailout?
