Donald Rumsfeld Gets into the Personal Global Manipulation Game

The world of microfinance is always about driving the game and the planting of seeds. Don't forget Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner's father and President Obama's mother worked in overseas microfinance. So it should not come as a surprise that Donald Rumsfeld is playing the game and look at the countries he is throwing money at:
Today the Rumsfeld Foundation announced its 2012 microfinance grants.  This year's grants, totaling $355,000, will support the work of four global microfinance organizations.

$150,000 grant to FINCA International to support its microfinance efforts and staff training in Afghanistan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

$100,000 grant to Opportunity International to support the expansion of financial services and training in Colombia.

$75,000 grant to the Grameen Foundation to support the funding of a Senior Investment Officer to lead financing activities and implement investment strategies throughout Latin America.

$30,000 grant to support ACCION International's microfinance programs in India and Latin America, focusing on improving education programs and expanding rural microfinance.

  1. Can you explain what you mean by "driving the game and planting of seeds"? It's a bit vague.

  2. Bob, what exactly is Rumsfeld's sin here?

  3. How many government pensions does Donald Rumsfeld get?
