  3. I can't listen to politicians. Tried for about minute. They never answer the questions directly unless its something trivial. How the heck do people get excited about these liars?

I am not saying we need more people like Ron Paul, but he is the only politician that talked like a human. Have a spine, don't sign bills you can't defend, make me believe your BS reasons, and stop saying ah or um all the damn time great orator. This guy has no f'n soul.

    1. the "presidential kill list" ???

Yeesh, that this phrase is even being used means The Invasion of the Body Snatchers is almost complete.

I keep asking myself, "Self, what does it mean to be an American these days?"

The answer sure isn't anything like the answers I had thirty years ago.

I wonder what elementary school-children would say the answer is these days? Don't they still ask that question in grade schools and post them on the hallways for the parents to see on parent-teacher day? Or have they stopped doing that cause the answers didn't line up with the expectations? PSft... Typical.

At any rate, I doubt I'm an American by today's standards.

      Funny that.

      p.s.
I'm done commenting here, I love the website but I'm on try number three to prove I'm not a robot instead of a guy who can't make heads or tails out of this funky text box-whatever.

  5. This Alinsky inspired warmonger in the Whitehouse is nothing more than a platitude spouting demagogue. It's absolutely maddening to realize that this sort of claptrap works on so many brain-dead thoughtless Americans. There isn't anyplace on Earth far enough away from this murderous conniving swine. How do I get off this planet? I can't stand it anymore.

      You're the expert huh?

Pot meet kettle and all that.

Obama's speech was substantive. Listen again. Maybe some of it went over your head

  7. So Swann asks Obama why his lawyers are fighting the judge's orders against the NDAA's indefinite detention clause. Obama responds:

    1) His primary job is to keep the American people safe. Only next is his role to do it in a way that respects American values, traditions, and rule of law.
    2) But there are people that have pledged to try to hurt Americans that they can't try in a traditional court. It's a complicated situation.
    3) An American citizen can never be subject to that sort of detention. Congress has disagreed with him.
    4) The only reason he passed it was so he could finance the military and pay the soldiers.
    5) So he signed the bill saying he would never use this power, and he believed courts in the long run would find it unconstitutional.

So firstly, he doesn't explain why we can't try the people who have "pledged to hurt Americans" in a traditional court. If they have taken such a pledge, it would no doubt be easy to lock them up.

Secondly, in response to point #3 and 4, Anonymous @12:22 AM has pointed out that Carl Levin, one of the two creators of the bill, stated it was the Obama administration that wanted the power in the first place.

Thirdly, if point #5 is true, WHY are his lawyers fighting the judge who ALREADY ruled it unconstitutional. Obama runs a complete circle around the question, in the end, completely avoiding answering it at all. Swann asks Obama why his lawyers are fighting the judge's ruling. Obama essentially replies "I would never use the power, and the courts will rule it unconstitutional in the long run." And the alert listener thinks "wait a second...if Obama wants the courts to say it's unconstitutional, then isn't it merely hypocritical to be fighting the court when it already DOES say it's unconstitutional?"

I'd venture to say 99% of Americans are not alert. Hell, for a moment there, even I thought to myself "Oh Obama isn't so bad he just passed it so the troops can get paid, and he's hoping in the long run the courts will find it unconstitutional."

This man is a devious tyrant. The overused idiom "sly as a fox" would only be an understatement describing the politician's wit and charm at pleasing the average American.

You did better than I did; I couldn't stomach B.O.'s crap for more than about 40 seconds - and that was too much!

  9. Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah Blah!!

The Prez is so full of it, it's hard to know where to start. I guess I'll point out what I think is the biggest lie, mistake or whatever you want to call it. The President's job is not to keep us safe. His primary responsibility is to uphold the US Constitution. This is exactly why I will not be voting for Obama or Romney - they don't respect the US Constitution enough to uphold it.
