Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is leaving President Barack Obama's campaign so he can raise cash for an independent "super" political action committee trying to help the president win a second term, reports AP.
An Obama campaign aide confirmed Wednesday that Emanuel is making the switch to the Priorities USA Action super PAC. That group is run with the help of former White House advisers and has spent millions of dollars on ads supporting Obama.
Priorities USA Action has raised about $25.5 million through July.
Bottom line: I don't think Rahm cares about LBJ's great grandkids, as long as they don't do too much shooting on Michigan Ave.
As he as said before, he wants the shootings to stay in the alleys.
