Geithner Does Tokyo

This morning, Treasury Secretary Geithner arrived in Tokyo, Japan for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. While there, the Secretary will also participate in a series of bilateral meetings.

At 1:00 PM JST, the Secretary will participate in a moderated discussion on the global economy with the Economist's Zanny Minton-Beddoes at the Institute of International Finance annual meeting.

Later, the Secretary will hold bilateral meetings with U.K. Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne and Japanese Finance Minister Koriki Jojima.

Also in the afternoon, Secretary Geithner will host an informal meeting of G-7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.

In the evening, the Secretary will hold bilateral meetings with Italian Finance Minister Vittorio Grilli and German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble.
