Who Needs Drones? Kim Jong-un Takes Care of Business

A North Korean army minister was executed with a mortar round for reportedly drinking and carousing during the official mourning period after Kim Jong-il's death, reports the Telegraph.

Kim Chol, vice minister of the army, was taken into custody earlier this year on the orders of Kim Jong-un, who assumed the leadership after the death of his father in December.

On the orders of Kim Jong-un to leave "no trace of him behind, down to his hair," according to South Korean media, Kim Chol was forced to stand on a spot that had been zeroed in for a mortar round and "obliterated."

  1. That's messed up. But it's hard to sympathize when the power elite do this to each other. That's how they roll.

On a side note, I'm puzzled by the fact that no one knows the exact age of Kim Jong-un. If he attended school in Switzerland or wherever, don't they have documents with his DOB?

    You're messed up, Wenzel.

  5. If any of the military officer/minister dare to take the risk of assassinating the young ruthless Kim, then I guess this "rambo" officer/minister would probably be heralded as a hero and maybe even be elected as the country's new leader by the military community.

  6. What most of us do not wish to deal with, is that our own government does precisely the same thing. The only difference is that, in order to preserve the illusion of "Land of the free", we worship at the alter of "plausible deniablity". Instead of mortar rounds, our weapons of choice are drones, hired assassins, and high tech toys to induce heart attacks and other natural looking "accidents". Can't have people seeing us in an unfavorable light, now can we...
