No Kennedy, No Affleck in Mass. Senate Race

Both Ted Kennedy Jr. and Ben Affleck have ruled out running for the US Senate seat in Massachusetts that will become vacant when Senator John Kerry resigns to become Secretary of State.

The senate seat isn't safe from an interventionist, but at least it won't be one of these two high profile characters. Names mentioned on the Democratic side include Michael Capuano, Edward Markey, Stephen Lynch, and Niki Tsongas. For the Republicans, Scott Brown is likely to run.
