Rand Paul Interview: Can You Spot the Missing Countries?
The American Conservative interviews Rand Paul on foreign policy, but fails to ask him questions about two countries frequently in the headlines. Can you spot the two countries? It won't be difficult. Why is TAC afraid to get Rand on the record on these countries?

Are they "afraid" to get Sen. Paul on the record, or are they afraid to have themselves on the record?

ReplyDelete“I’ve told people that my general viewpoint on this is that there are two polar extremes: one when we’re everywhere all the time, and one when we’re nowhere any of the time. I would say that there is a more moderate approach that looks at every situation individually. It doesn’t say that we’re going to have no military bases around the world, but maybe says 900 bases is too many, that doesn’t say we’re not going to have any troops anywhere around the world, but says that what we have currently is too many. There is a possibility of a nuanced position of ‘not everywhere all the time, not nowhere any of the time’.”
In short, don't end the empire; manage it better. It seems that "don't end such-and-such government outrage, but micromanage it" is indeed becoming a theme with Randy---as Bob Wenzel has pointed out numerous times.
Again the republicans are throwing a candidate up, in this case Rand, in the hope he'll catch a puff of wind and soar skywards like that guy in the White House. However Rand brings less than Romney, who could at least could claim some sort of business acumen. Rand only has weak milky libertarianism to serve up, which won't do anything to break up the "Romney 47%'.
ReplyDeleteAfter hearing the Senator come running to the human drone/sniper Chris Kyle's intellectual aid on Tuesday, I now consider Rand Paul a coward. If we are going to heap praise on every government soldier/agent wearing a uniform, we'll never restore any Republic. Sen. Paul has apparently sold us all out as fast as he could for political expedience. I've been holding my tongue for months, wanting to assume the best, but Rand Paul has already been assimilated into the DC culture, in less than 2 years! He's already willing to come out in direct opposition to his own father, who laid the foundation for his sons candidacy. I hate politics
