There was not one category where cuts were wanted by 50% or more of the population. There were two categories where the public wanted to see increases in spending of more than 50%, for education and veteran's benefits.
Overall, based on this poll, it appears that most Americans are far from understanding the benefits of a small government or that centrally planned spending is wasteful and inefficient.
It's also an indication that the public school system has indoctrinated Americans into the importance of its own existence, as well as the benefits of the empire.

ReplyDeleteMore than fifty percent of the public want to increase veteran benefits. What a bunch of marks this nation has become. My brother-in-law is typical of the human trash that is typical of the product our military puts out. He was in for twelve years, and he has been out for nearly twenty. In all that time in civilian life he has figured out ways to suck at the trough and enrich himself at our expense. First with a housing grant that put him in a McMansion. Then after several years of working, being a productive individual no longer interest him. So he fakes seizures. For years, they could not find anything wrong with him. Oh, btw, he was one of the ones claiming Gulf War Syndrome. There was nothing wrong with him except a desire to milk the system. Anyway, back to the present, even though they find nothing wrong with him after batteries of tests done weekly, countless episodes that land him in the hospital, half the doctors wanting him investigated for fraud, they still administered a shit load of pills to try out on him. When one set of pills didn't work, they just switched over to others. This has gone on since 2006-07. He allowed himself to be a guinea pig to get away with being a lazy but disability collecting bastard! Now, after all these pills, there are quite a few things wrong with him. Organ damage, nerve damage, you name it. So, at the moment he is in detox for the month to get him off the current set of pills they are treating him with. Insanity!
