Massive Global Plotting by Treasury Secretary Jack Lew and Deputy Secretary Wolin, Today


In the morning, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew will meet with British Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne.

Also in the morning, the Secretary will meet with South Korean Deputy Prime Minister Hyun Oh Seok. This meeting is closed press.

At 11:00 AM, Secretary Lew will deliver brief remarks at the Equal Futures Partnership at the World Bank on efforts to expand women’s political and economic participation.

Later, the Secretary will meet with Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, and Canadian Finance Minister James Flaherty. These meetings are closed press.  

In the afternoon, Secretary Lew will attend a meeting with regional finance ministers at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Also in the afternoon, the Secretary will meet with Russian Finance Minister Antonin Siluanov.

Later in the afternoon, Secretary Lew will meet with Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso.

In the evening, the Secretary will participate in a working dinner of G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.

Also in the morning, Deputy Secretary Wolin will meet with Iraqi Acting Central Bank Governor Dr. Abdulbasit Turki Said and Deputy Finance Minister Fadhil Othman. Later, he will meet with Qatari Finance Minister Yousef Kamal. These meetings are closed press.

In the afternoon, the Deputy Secretary will meet with Latvian Finance Minister Andris Vilks and Philippine Finance Secretary Cesar V. Purisima.

In the late afternoon, Deputy Secretary Wolin will meet with Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudry, the Advisor to Pakistan’s Prime Minister for economic policy.
