The Federal Reserve Board announced today that a redesigned $100 note will begin circulating on October 8, 2013. This note, which incorporates new security features such as a blue, 3-D security ribbon.
The new design for the $100 note was unveiled in 2010, but its introduction was postponed following an unexpected production delay.
I wonder when they will call in all the old ones to exchange for new ones?
ReplyDeleteI find it somewhat ironic that all the security features are intended to prevent counterfeiting, while at the same time our central bank is creating $85 billion out of nothing every month to monetize the debt.
