In an recorded telephone message from jail, Adam Kokesh, who is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on charges of possession of a Schedule I drug (Psilocybin mushrooms) as well as possession of drugs while in possession of a firearm, asked supporters for donations to his legal defense fund to help him reach the $5,000 he needs to make bail.
In the message, Kokesh also reported that the federal government has issued a detainer against him, so that the as soon as he has met bail in Virginia, he will be turned over to federal authorities, as unknown federal charges now await him.
Kokesh is offering a personal letter, in which he will answer one question, to anyone who donates $20.00 or more towards his release.
