I just completed an interview with John W. Whitehead for this Sunday's Robert Wenzel Show.
Whitehead is the founder The Rutherford Institute, a civil liberties organization that provides free legal services to people whose constitutional and human rights have been threatened or violated. He is also author of A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State.
During the interview, he told me that by 2015, drones will be all over the air in the US. That they will have the capability to see inside houses. He says it will be a $30 billion industry. Most alarming, miniature drones are being designed for the government that will be the size of mosquitoes and will be capable of secretly injecting drugs into people.

And to complete this Satanic cocktail, make the drones self-replicating.
The technologies are much more developed and the threat for worse than people realize. Within a generation, there seems a high probability of large-scale (regional or even global) events of genocide or mass harm of some kind. Future wars fought by weaponized artificial or even synthetic "mosquitoes."
Can humanity survive the Fermi paradox that the reason there is no sign of civilization found in space is that as soon as a civilization obtains the technology to destroy itself, it does... We'll find out and sooner than we'd like.
