The Best Introduction to Austro Libertarianism Ever Given

Walter Block writes:
Tom Woods gave the opening address for the Mises University of 2013 last night.. In my opinion, this was just about the best introduction to Austro libertarianism ever given.
I fully concur. This one is for the ages.

  1. Thanks for the heads-up. Unbeknownst to me, it (and many other speeches) had already magically flowed into my iPod yesterday.

    Here's an MP3 download link.

  2. Speaking of libertarianism:

Lind is the moron who "critiqued" libertarianism a few weeks ago. On a more worthy note, he does a great job of showing why Friedman is not a libertarian and the contradictions of people who argue for "market based" solutions such as vouchers.

    1. I couldn't get past Lind repeating the critique of his position which was why didn't they have democracy in the dark ages. Heck, only 150 years ago, slavery was considered "normal".

Gee, why has there never been a libertarian country? Because people kill robbing and killing and people don't want to give that up. And which I guess proves that those behaviors are good things, right?

    2. That's what I get for writing at 3:35 a.m. I meant to say:

Because people LIKE robbing and killing and people don't want to give that up.

    3. What really made my jaw drop in the Michael Lind interview was when he defended the US public school system by saying (paraphrased), "If you remove the African-American, and Hispanic students' test scores, American public schools perform just as well as China, Japan and Germany."

Let that marinate for a bit.

  3. Tom Woods says Marx's labor theory of value is dead. Not with the MMTers. So you better watch out, because those guys are REAL SHARP.

    1. Funny Bobby scapegoats the MMTer's simply because AE will NEVER again be accepted or applied by any rational government. Oops I said government-real dirty word around here, I'm figuring. I am so sorry. MMT an apt and thorough DESCRIPTION of the fiscal and monetary operations of a FIAT currency issuing entity. That is all it is. Any who beg different are either delusion or intellectually challenged. MMT has been applied and will continue to be applied now and long into perpetuity. AE is just a pipe dream, simply wishful thinking and its remnants lay in the slag heap of history, gladly forgotten by many a FORMER commodity based and guaranteed to fail economic state. Keep posting on MNE Funny Bobby, I love the retorts from the usual suspects to your over intellectualized inane and broken record posts...Funny Money, Funny Money, Funny Money...now that alone is worth the price of admission.
