Amazon's Bezos Owns Stake in Business Insider

As part of its reporting on the purchase of the Washington Post by Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Business Insider added the following:
Disclosure: Jeff Bezos is an investor in Business Insider through his personal investment company Bezos Expeditions.
Henry Blodget previously reported that BI lost  $3 million in 2012. Blodget also said, at the time, that BI had ONLY spent $7 million of the $13 million it had raised. It us unclear if the investment made by Bezos was part of this $13 million or a separate money raise.

UPDATE:

Apparently it was a new funding round. All Things D wrote in April:
[...]the Amazon CEO is personally leading a $5 million investment round in Blodget’s six-year-old Web publishing business.
By my count, that brings total investment in Business Insider to more than $18 million
