Shutdown Hurting Mitch McConnell's Approval Rating

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell's popularity is taking a dive due to the government shutdown, according to a new Gallup survey, reports WPFL.

Overall, Gallup finds McConnell's net approvals are down by 12 percentage points since Congress failed to pass a spending bill to keep federal services and programs running.

No wonder Rand Paul has been calling so much for a short-term resolution that will give more time for both sides to talk. He is helping out his new buddy, Mitch.

Jesse Benton, McConnell's campaign manager, may have to stop holding his nose and use both hands during the remainder of the McConnell's re-election campaign.
