The 5 Most Expensive U.S. Metropolitan Housing Areas



Some 88% of U.S. metro areas saw their median home price rise in the third quarter versus the same period a year ago, according to this release from the National Association of Realtors.


Bernanke is especially making an impact in and around Silicon Valley.  According to NAR, the five most expensive metropolitan areas were:
San Jose, Calif.: $805,000
San Francisco: $705,000
Honolulu: $679,800
Anaheim-Santa Ana, Calif.: $670,700
San Diego: $485,000
