The 'Southern Avenger' Falls on His Sword Once Again

In a bizarre article written for Politico Magazine, Jack Hunter, aka The Southern Avenger and former Rand Paul aide, now dismisses most of his pre-Rand commentary:
The Southern Avenger had said some pretty atrocious things. He toasted John Wilkes Booth’s birthday each year and believed that Lincoln “would have had a romantic relationship with Adolf Hitler if the two met.” He worried about “racial double standards for white people” and that “a non-white majority America would simply cease to be America.”
It is hard to understand Hunter's comeback strategy here. Does he seriously think the neocons are going to allow him to get close to Rand or any other politician? Unless Hunter goes to the complete dark side and calls Obama the devil for cutting a deal with Iran and demands an immediate Israeli attack on Iran, Hunter will remain nothing but a speck of dust, in the world of opinion.

Real heroes when tossed aside by the elite come out in attack mode against the elite. Instead of doing this, the Southern Avenger has become nothing but a speck of Southern Pine pollen, completely harmless and insignificant.

  2. Sad,

OT, where's Rand. He seems to have gone into hiding after the Iran deal. I wonder if he will continue to appease Jennifer Rubin.

    1. Rand Paul is the most libertarian Senator in the history of the country. He IS the antiwar movement in politics. Not you. You aren't helping at all. You bitch while Rand Paul does all the heavy lifting.I don't know who I hate more neocons or fake libertarians like you, who are contrarian for the sake of being contrarian. Rand Paul was the most vocal and influential critic of war in Syria.

Jennifer Rubin hates Rand Paul, but you wouldn't know that because you have your head up your ass.

      The fake libertarian speaks...
You can always spot one by seeing how he hyperbolically praises a politician who constantly makes non-libertarian statements, just because he makes a few that are not as bad as the rest.

Here's a clue, Rand Paul sycophant. You do not recognize libertarian politicians just by comparing them to the rest of the garbage dump in D.C.

  3. Can't wait until he runs the full inevitable gamut and begins making the "ex-conservative" rounds with David Frum, etc.

  4. Rand should've made him take credit for this too: http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2013/11/national-iowa-right-to-work-groups-subsidized-state-candidates-misled-irs-former-employee-charges.html

  5. He's doing this for Rand. Koch Bros must have written a nice check.

    1. As usual, an irrelevant and stupid comment by Jerry. As if the Koch Brothers would actually write a check to someone to save Rand Paul. How tone-deaf to American political life can "Jerry" be?

    2. I think Jerry is trapped in his parents basement. If he comes out mommy will make him do household chores. So instead he stays locked up in his own little asylum churning out bizarre blog comments while high on a potent combination of aerosol propellant and body odor.

    3. Jerry's doing the typical idiot thing: anything that has to do with libertarianism MUST be funded by the Koch brothers (who aren't actual libertarians)!

While i admit that Jerry Wolfgang is generally an idiot, he did not claim here that "anything that has to do with libertarianism MUST be funded by the Koch brothers".

He implied Rand Paul and/or Jack Hunter must have been receiving checks from the Koch Brothers.

Big difference, as neither Rand Paul nor Jack Hunter should be perceived as libertarians any more than the Koch brothers. Wolfgang did not imply (here) that Rand or Hunter is libertarian; you yourself did.

  6. It's too bad. If Hunter has any poor decisions in his career to be embarrassed about, it's his association with an establishment neocon like Rand Paul.

    1. Buahaha, Rand Paul is a neocon now? The anti-Rand EPJ crowd have officially gone full retard.

  7. I dont understand why he is sucking up to these scumbags, what does he hope to gain from it? Money?

  8. Jack Hunter is just one of those professional leeches who tries to latch on to popular and populist movements. Sure, it's easy to be a libertarian when the Tea Party is perceived as such, but watch what happens when Ron Paul quits congress and Rand Paul goes full neocon. Hunter is one of those types who knows which way the wind blows.

What's next? Surprise if Glenn Beck hops on board the Rand-train?

  9. Too bad, he was breath of fresh air in the Chas. Media market but once he went full Rand he was ruint!
