Breaking: Christie Says He Was 'Misled' By Aides On Traffic Jamming

Typical politician, it looks like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is going to throw his aides under the bus for the traffic jamming he most likely knew about, if not ordered.

In a statement just, Christie said he had no knowledge that his top aide helped arrange traffic jams as retribution for a Democratic mayor. He promised there would be punishment. "What I've seen today for the first time is unacceptable,” he said. “I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge.”

Christie said the people of New Jersey “deserve better.”

  1. 'Deeply saddened' seems a bit maudlin, but I'm sure it's heartfelt.
There, it's done. Trafficgate is over with nary a dented fender.

  3. From the state that gave us Corzine, I doubt New Jersey can do better. He also passed the slime ball test, so I guess he's qualified to one day take Obama's job. While I think this shows what a power hungry nut job Cristie is, its pretty amazing how the media jumped all over this as if it was so shocking to think that a high level politician would stoop to such a low. The is grade school bullying compared to the guy in the WH.
