NYC Mayor’s Wife Wants Office, Role at City Hall and to Hire Al Sharprton Confidant

Just what I was thinking, what NYC really needs is central planning by way of an Al Sharpton advisor.

The mayor and his wife, Chirlane McCray.

NyPo delivers the news:
Mayor de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, wants her own office inside City Hall — and to play a hands-on, policy-setting role in her husband’s administration, sources told The Post.
Officials have been scouting space for New York City’s new first lady, who described herself as a “sounding board and partner” to her husband during his campaign and transition to mayor, a source said.
And the administration has been working on a portfolio of issues for McCray to tackle, another source said.
McCray would also like a staff — and her top pick to head it up is Rachel Noerdlinger, a longtime spokeswoman and confidant for the Rev. Al Sharpton

  1. Get her three more like Noerdlinger so she can have her very own Gang of Four, just like her role model.

    1. Duh, make that two since she's part of the gang.

  2. Decades ago this sort of pay rolling had to be done hush-hush... today right in the open political office holders can create jobs for their spouses and relatives and hire staff for them. And they say there isn't any slippery slope.

  3. Must be putting something in the water - New Yorkers have gone bat shit crazy!

[Will the last ones to leave please turn out the lights...]

  4. I'd be more confident in NYC's future if DeBlasio would get Jerry Wolfgang on board.
With JW advising him, NYC would be veritable paradise on earth.

    Mark my words.

  5. OK, so does the Mayor have his gloves on or off...

    [Just asking]
