Great idea. By gov fiat let's set Paul Krugman's salary & the NY Times subscription rate at non-market clearing rates http://t.co/sSCj7Lkx9P

An "eat your own poop" law for Paul Krugman -- Federal law mandating newspaper columnists be paid a minimum wage of $800 million per year.

For every 5¢ the minimum wage goes up, the salary for each academic economist should go up $50,000 with the pool of faculty money held fixed

We need an "eat your own poop" law for economists who advocate minimum wage laws, a non-market clearing mandatory high wage for these profs.

Elite leftist economists & pols shove non-market clearing wages down the throat of others, laws which they would never target at themselves.
— TakingHayekSeriously (@FriedrichHayek) February 20, 2014
We need to put out of work 5 leftists economists advocating high minimum wages for every 5 workers losing their jobs b/c of these wage laws.
— TakingHayekSeriously (@FriedrichHayek) February 20, 2014
Economists need to live what they preach -- if they are going to advocate non-market clearing wages for others, they need to eat the same.
— TakingHayekSeriously (@FriedrichHayek) February 20, 2014
Lets triple the wages of academic economists, and then fire two-thirds of them.
— TakingHayekSeriously (@FriedrichHayek) February 20, 2014
If we want "wage fairness" how about a maximum wage rate. That way the econmists, academics, and even presidents can show just how egalitarian they really are.
