Penn State College Republicans President Jordan Harris has confirmed that plans aredeveloping for Ron Paul to debate famed Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein on the Penn State campus in April, pending funding approval from UPUA and UPAC. The evening is being dubbed as the “Great Debate," according to the Penn State newspaper, Onward State.
“We’re incredibly excited for the potential of welcoming Dr. Paul to campus,” Harris said. ”[...]the two figures will offer strong contrasting views on a broad range of issues from the state of the American economy to America’s role in the world.”
The event will take place on April 15 at Eisenhower Auditorium, if UPUA and UPAC approve the funding.
Debate should be entirely focused on whether supporting Title II of the Civil Rights Act is equivalent to supporting slavery.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should also touch upon whether 9/11 attacks were blow back or whether they were a false flag event. Ron Paul hasn't made clear which position he holds. Both can't be true.
Ron Paul debate is merely Ron Paul giving his standard speech.
Jerry "crybaby-pussy" Wolfgang comment is merely bullshit.
DeleteSpeaking of standard speech...
DeleteJW: Troll
Jerry, are you sure you wouldn't want the debate to touch on any of the other economic fallacies you are a supporter of?
DeleteHe's said repeatedly it was blowback. Anything else you'd like to comment and hold an opinion on that you haven't lifted a finger to actually research?
DeleteWow, I actually agree with jw for once. There is something fishy about ron paul and the gang he surrounds himself with. He's not a top shelf debater either. He's sharp, but he does have a temper, its gotten better over the years but unfortunately that old morton downy jr. appearance may be the most accurate look at him there is. When he gets frustrated the wheels come off.
ReplyDeleteYou want to expound on what's fishy about Ron Paul? Are you stunned that the people working his campaign were political slime balls like everybody else? Most true libertarians reject the political process altogether so finding out people running campaigns are sleazy should come as no shock. Also, is it not a normal process to mellow out as one gets older? My temper and patience as a 37 year old father of two are far better than they were as a 25 year old. If I had to listen to the horse bleep Ron Paul has had to hear from people over the years I would be chippy too.
DeleteStanding back now... two years after the 2012 election has allowed me to reflect on Ron Paul, his campaign and the apparent critiques I do , or had, have with him. I think he did somewhat become methodical with his standard speech doing his last campaign and it annoyed me to great measure how he would not fight fire with fire when the establishment hacks attacked him or his positions or how they railroaded him in several delegate districts. Frankly, he should have called the crooks out on their bs and went after Romney and the like more forcefully. Also, exactly what was discussed (agreed to), during the lunch date at the Fed with Barnarke that essentially caused the derailment of the campaign when Paul seemed to be gaining momentum... the world may never know. Now all we have as a possible candidate is a flawed Rand. Good God.
