Report on 25 Metro Areas: Income Needed to Buy a Home

HSH.com took the National Association of Realtors’ fourth-quarter 2013 data for median home prices and HSH.com’s fourth-quarter average interest rate for 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages to determine how much money homebuyers in 25 cities would need to earn in order to afford the principal and interest payment on a median-priced home in their market.

Here is the full list of income needed to buy a home in the 25 metro areas, from most to least affordable:
