The U.S. Senate Banking Committee has postponed a Tuesday confirmation hearing for three White House nominees for the Federal Reserve’s board of governors, following government closures Monday due to a snow storm, reports WSJ.
President Obama has nominated Stanley Fischer for the role of Fed vice chairman and Lael Brainard to the position of board governor. Jerome Powell, a sitting Fed governor, has been renominated. The nominations are subject to Senate confirmation.
No new date has been set for the confirmation hearing, according to a statement from the banking committee.
