The Economist Goes Into Serious Propaganda Mode

The latest cover from The Economist:

For the record, the magazine is a total establishment rag which tends to promote a neocon agenda. It is part of The Economist Group, which is half owned by Pearson PLC via the Financial Times. The other half is owned by a group of independent shareholders, including many members of the staff and the Rothschild banking family of England. The magazine initially gave  "vigorous support for the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, it later called the operation 'bungled from the start.'"  In 2008, the magazine endorsed Barack Obama and used the election eve issue's front cover to promote his candidacy. On 15 June 2006 Iran banned the sale of The Economist when it published a map labeling the Persian Gulf simply as "Gulf".

  1. This is a bullshit magazine that supported US "liberation" of Iraq with tens of thousands dead and labels the Russian bloodless absorption of its historical Crimea as an "invasion" of Ukraine. I like how some western governments operate, but such hypocrisies seriously damage their credibility in the world.
