Jim Henson had a show on HBO in the early 80's called "Fraggle Rock". There were these characters that co-existed with the Fraggles called Doozers. Doozers would mindlessly build these elaborate structures, which were then destroyed and eaten by the Fraggles. The Doozers would then rebuild, and the cylce repeated itself.
