Donald Sterling Calls Out Magic Johnson for Not Defending Him and Vows to Hold Onto the Clippers

The UK's Mail Online reports:
A new recording of Donald Sterling has been released by a friend of the disgraced Clippers owner and he is heard declaring that he is not a racist.
'You think I’m a racist? You think I have anything in the world but love for everybody? You don’t think that! You know I’m not a racist!' Sterling is heard saying to his unidentified friend.
'I mean, how could you think I’m a racist knowing me all these years?

'How can you be in this business and be a racist? Do you think I tell the coach to get white players? Or to get the best player he can get?'
The tape was released to Radar Online and the friend signed an affidavit saying that Sterling is the other voice on the recording.
'I grew up in East L.A.... I was the president of the high school there. I mean, and I’m a Jew! And 50 per cent of the people there were black and 40 per cent were Hispanic,' Sterling says

Sterling talks about the scandal and specifically references the Instagram photo of his girlfriend V. Stiviano and Magic Johnson that reportedly prompted his backlash during a recorded call with her.
'It breaks my heart that Magic Johnson, a guy that I respect so much, wouldn’t stand up and say, "Well let’s get the facts. Let’s get him and talk to him." Nobody tried. Nobody!'...

NBA commissioner Adam Silver has made it clear that he hopes that the league's board of governors will vote to force Sterling to sell the LA basketball team that he has owned since 1981, but in this latest recording, Sterling made it clear that he does not intend to go without a fight.

'You can’t force someone to sell property in America! I’m a lawyer, that’s my opinion,' Sterling said

  1. So because he's a Jew he can't be a racist? Take a trip to Israel and you can see first hand that, that's a load of rubbish.

  2. Interesting. The parts of the tape that wasn't release at the time had Sterling saying that Israeli's were very racist, which gave some context to what he was telling the...archivist. He was talking about his image with racist people.

  3. Shelly Sterling is making a grab for the team according to a CNN report. I predicted this here several weeks ago.

  4. You can’t force someone to sell property in America? hahahaah......he was a matrimonial lawyer in a community property state. As a divorce attorney, he must have forced many people to sell property.

The guy is a blatant racist. If he is not a racist, then David Duke and Ron Paul are not racists. Nobody is a racist. The proper argument is that it is OK to be a racist. Why try to hide it? Be open and express your racism.

    1. JW: Troll. And, no, Ron Paul is racist only in the delusional minds of the collectivist hamsters who see racism in every bowl of soup.

    2. The collectivist project their racist views onto others. They assume that they have their racist views under control and have dealt with them appropriately. If you want to see how racist the left is, let a black, latino or woman come out against their ideology and you will see an old school Robert C. Byrd style racist emerge. Bill Maher is a perfect example of this.

    3. Leftism is predicated on racism. Welfare and affirmative action are the most racist policies ever conceived.

Libertarians believe that we are all equally capable. The Wolfgangs think that those of African descent are not equal to whites. Lefties say "you/they can't." Libertarians say "you/they can and will."

    4. Sorry Cosmo, if libertarians believe that, then they are not as observant as I thought. Humans are differentiated across the board in their ability to everything. Group traits mean that on average, some folks are more likely to do somethings better than others. It's really the most interesting part of being a human, as long as you have the understanding that individual talents lie on some part of a bell curve. Believe those lyin' eyes!

That being said, I do agree that libertarians believe that "all people should be treated the same under the rule of law." Jerry's a troll because marriage is a contract, and the breaking of a contract might mean that property must be distributed. Forcibly? Doubtful. I'd imagine a lot of marriages distribute property w/o resorting to litigation.

  5. JW=troll

The more I read, the more I think he was set up, and some comments were taken WAY out of context to paint him as a racist. I'm sure you could go through the hundreds of hours of recordings and paint him as a homophobic anti-Semite.

I admit--- I judged him at first blush. Everything since then makes me think he was set up by pros, and that his (ex?) GF was a patsy. She is defending him.
