I spent it at a get together hosted by Dr. Michael Edelstein, author of Three Minute Therapy: Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life, and his lovely wife, Janice.
Other guests included economist Jeffrey Rogers Hummel, author of Emancipating Slaves, Enslaving Free Men: A History of the American Civil War. Another gentleman at the party told us stories about his experiences taking LSD approximately 30 times, and a woman was there, whose son attends an exclusive high school in Oakland, where approximately 10% of the students consider themselves "gender fluid." That is they don't consider themselves male or female, and prefer to be called "they"rather than he or she.
Who needs fireworks? My mind was exploding at that party.
