What Ron Paul Wants for His Birthday

I don't usually run solicitation letters here at EPJ, but it is Ron Paul's birthday!

Dear Friend of Peace and Prosperity,

Today is my birthday, and though it is not polite to ask for a present I am going to make an exception this year. Won’t you please send a gift of support to my Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity? It would mean so much to me and to our cause.

We are fighting the war party, challenging their propaganda at every turn. But we are on the ropes and we need your help – as I write this to you they are trying to lie us into yet another war that could be the end of us all. Our job is to tell the truth and to expose their lies.

That’s why I founded the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, and right now
I am especially concerned about the drive to war against Russia. Indeed, I have never seen such a dangerous stand-off between nuclear powers. The US government continues to add sanction upon sanction against Russia over a civil war in Ukraine resulting from a US-staged coup.

The propaganda over the Malaysian jetliner, and the pushing of NATO missiles right up to the Russian border — to take just two worrisome events — are chilling. How would Americans react to Russian missiles on the Texas border?

Meanwhile real wages in America continue to decline. You and I pay for the foreign adventurism. But most Americans do not believe in world empire and endless wars against the latest bad guy. They do not want war against Iran, Gaza, Iraq, Afghanistan, and all the rest.

Many Americans, perhaps most, can be recruited to our banner of freedom and peace. But just at the very time the truth-telling Ron Paul Institute is most needed, we are in danger of going out of business.

The cupboard is bare, though we are very, very frugal. No big salaries for our few employees, no fancy offices, no needless expenditures of any sort. But I have not done enough to let you know about the urgency of the situation.

Yet going by our influence in our first year, RPI is a big success. Literally millions read our work online, and are influenced by it. Our web traffic puts us up there with organizations many times our size! More than 200 other news sites and blogs regularly re-print our material. We are taking non-interventionism into the enemy camp, which is why neocons have tried to destroy the RPI.

Won’t you help me give these merchants of death their deserved comeuppance? Here, your generous donation is tax-deductible, and your dollars do massive good.

There is so much else to do with publications, conferences, student internships, and teaching peace and prosperity. We are making great progress, but a closed sign on the door will strike a fearful blow against our ideas.

Pro-war, pro-Keynesian groups are rolling in money. But because they are fathers of lies, and we have the truth on our side, we do not need to match them.

But we do need your help. Your tax-deductible donation of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more would be like a rescue squad.

Help me wipe the smirk off the neocons’ faces, and all those who kill for profit, and kill freedom in the process. I am counting on you.

Ron Paul

P.S. Please help me make this a very special birthday, with a generous, tax-deductible gift to my Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity!

P.P.S. For a tax-deductible gift of $100 or more, I will autograph a copy of my book for you: “A Foreign Policy of Freedom: Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship." Just let me know how to inscribe it.

P.P.P.S We can’t let the warmongers win. Help me keep the doors of the Ron Paul Institute open, and our little organization buzzing with the truth Americans so desperately need to hear. I can’t do it without you.
