Across the Board US Stock Market Selloff

U.S. stocks declined for the third straight session. All ten S&P 500 industry sectors were down today.

The S&P 500  closed 11.52 points, or 0.6%, lower at 1,982.77. The Dow Jones Industrial Average  was down 116.68 points, or 0.7%, to 17,056.00. The Nasdaq Composite   dropped 19 points, or 0.4%, to 4,508.69.

Small caps really got hammered, the Nasdaq Composite  lost 1.1%, while the Russell 2000   dropped 1.5%. This comes as know surprise to EPJ Daily Alert readers, the narrowing of the capital structure, when money supply slows, always starts at the edges.
