What Book is 175,000 Pages Long and Still Growing?

The Code of Federal Regulations.

In 1975, the Code of Federal Regulations had 71,224 pages. By 2013, the number of pages had grown to over 175,000.

  1. I'm no chart wiz, but the chart above doesn't seem to jive with the story.

    According to the chart in 1997 there were approx. 815k pages of regulation. I believe that's 815,000

    Then it dropped to 175,000 in 2013?
