European Central Bank Keeps Interest Rates at Record Lows

The European Central Bank has announced that at its just completed monetary policy meeting the the central bank has decided  to keep interest rates unchanged.

The council held its main refinancing rate at its record low of 0.05 per cent and continued to charge banks 0.2 per cent on a portion of their deposits parked with the central bank.

UPDATE

At his post policy meeting press conference, ECB president Mario Draghi says ECB officials unanimous on more stimulus if needed.
