Looking for Money From Ebay Founder Peter Theil? Be Prepared with a Reply to This

PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel is managing partner of the Founders Fund venture capital firm and president of the hedge fund Clarium Capital

In a 2012 Forbes interview, he revealed that when meeting with entrepreneurs who want him to invest in their projects, he says to them, to judge their courage and originality, "Tell me something that's true, that almost nobody agrees with you on."

This ought to be good for about $50 million.

  2. Kudos to the mosquito. Wise way beyond his years (I gather). That said; he is wrong about Pilon and Epstein in general, although it was a disgusting article they wrote. Epstein certainly belongs in the classical liberal Hall of Fame, and Pilon has done some groundbreaking work on the fundamental presumption of the illegitimacy of the state. Also, his unpublished (as far as I know) doctoral thesis stakes out a very sound (in my opinion) justification of human rights from a Gewirthian philosophical angle that supports Rothbard's natural rights conclusions better than he (Rothbard) (in my opinion) was able to do.

  3. Can someone point me to a book, blog post, discussion, or otherwise that covers what a right is? It seems like every discussion I find on rights assumes that a right is whatever it is, without definition, then goes on to list many rights and and then explains the derivation of why each stated right is a right. However, I'm not clear on what a right actually is.
