Alan Greenspan recently gave a stunning endorsement of gold, during a talk at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City. The Council on Foreign Relations left Greenspan's comments on gold out of the transcript of his talk and it is missing from the video version also!

GREENSPAN: Yes... Remember what we're looking at. Gold is a currency. It is still, by all evidence, a premier currency. No fiat currency, including the dollar, can macth it.
