These comparisons are stupid. It should be based on the quantity of something as it is normally used in an equal time. I normally use 10 gallons of gas per week compared to a few ounces of ketchup. Calculate that and you will see a totally different picture.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth can a comparison of what things cost per gallon be stupid? These are simply facts. There is no conclusion offered. Facts can't be stupid, they are simply facts. lol
DeleteWhat I'm saying is the comparrison is meaningless. It's like having an article on the price of an ounce of gold to an ounce of feathers and an ounce of playground sand. These articles which are done frequently are sensational and trying to either say gas is overpriced or fodd is overpriced. What I really want to know is the following:
DeleteHow much inflation was put into food to cover shipping costs due to $100 dollar a barrel oil and when oil does go back up are they going to inflate food again even though they didn't bring the cost down when gas came down.
For the last 2 years I have been keeping all my grocery chits. I have yet to check them for price increases but then again they wont show the decrease in portion size of certain products.
DeleteGoing to the right gas station but going to the wrong grocery store.
