Don't Expect Too Much From New Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis

Rafi Farber emails:
Hey Bob -

Thought you may find this interesting. I discovered Yanis Varoufakis back in 2012 and started following him because he sounded human to me, as opposed to a soulless econometrician.

While he has some spunk, you can see in the comment discussion on the attached post from his blog in September 2012 that he is still completely steeped in the "2008 was caused by private sector greed" nonsense. So we should not expect anything revolutionary from him, aside from perhaps winning in a game of chicken with Germany, which could be fun.

Search for "Rafi" and you'll find the back and forth he and I had in the comments.
