Meet a New Major Emerging Player in Data Collection and Government Big Brother Programs

Adam Hamm
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has just announced that North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm has been selected to chair a new NAIC task force on cybersecurity.

Additionally, Hamm has been selected by the insurance commissioners to serve on the U.S. Financial Stability Oversight Council.

FSOC is a fifteen member body comprised of the nation's chief financial regulators, including U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew who chairs the council and Federal Reserve Board Chair Janet Yellen. The council was created by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Protection and Consumer Protection Act in 2010 to monitor the safety and stability of the nation's financial system and coordinate a response to any threats.

Further, Hamm has been selected by his colleagues to be the state insurance commissioner representative on America’s Financial and Banking Information Infrastructure Committee.

FBIIC is chartered under the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets (AKA: The Plunge Protection Team). FBIIC’s mission is to work with appropriate members of financial institution regulatory agencies and coordinate efforts to improve the reliability and security of financial information infrastructure.

  2. This is the problem we face, not socialism or progressivism but this technocratic pragmatism where very smart competent people get placed in positions of great influence. they are asked to create a system and by christ they do it but without considering if it really is a problem that needs a system.
