NAACP Chapter Joins Minimum Wage Hike Advocacy

A group from the Alamance County (North Carolina) chapter of the NAACP met Saturday to hold its first People’s Assembly, focusing primarily on the fight to increase minimum wage and hearing from speakers involved, reports the The TimeNews.

The Alamance NAACP chapter plans to send groups to Raleigh on April 14 to meet with local representatives, and on April 15 for NC Raise Up’s National Day of Action on the Minimum Wage event, a demonstration for those advocating for a $15 minimum wage.
