Rents have been climbing since 2010 and are now very near climbing at a 4% annualized rate.
I have been warning in the EPJ Daily Alert that price inflation could explode in 2016. If it does, rents could start climbing by more than 5% on an annual basis.

Have you looked at the price of oil lately?
ReplyDeleteGood point, I am going to check and see if there is an oil drum I can sleep in.
DeleteIt's up 19% since Dec 2007 which means an annual rate of inflation of 2.1%/year. https://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/graph/?g=1P5w
ReplyDeleteGreat point. Janet Yellen is now 5' 3", she was probably under a foot when she was born. Her average height since birth is probably somewhere around 4'. Using your logic, are you willing to bet that she will be back at 4' soon?
DeleteThat can't be right. The Ben Bernak tells me there is no inflation.
