Thank You Janet Yellen: Oakland Real Estate Edition

Last year, Menlo Park-based Lane Partners  bought the old Sears building at 19th and Telegraph in Oakland.

They started refurbishing the 380,000-square-foot building,the keyword is started.

Along came Uber and bought the building from them for $123.5 million, five times what Lane paid for it a year earlier.
