I just want to inform you that I officially took the job. I started Tuesday! I can't thank you enough for putting the course together and making it available to the public. The principles you laid out were my guided path throughout the entire process.
His job is with a billion dollar corporation, one of the types of organizations where I recommend a person try to get a job.

This seems like a good way to kill 3 hours on this snowy and icy night. Purchased.
ReplyDeleteBob, I really appreciate you extending the Christmas sale just for me. ;)
I'm sure it depends heavily on the career choice but for me, the larger the company the lower it is on my list. Large businesses are bureaucratic, slow moving, risk adverse, tend to have nasty politics in place and are more likely to engage in cronyism. If you have to work for a large company, at least make it a less established, newer firm.
ReplyDeleteSo pick your large firm carefully. Pick one where learning and advancing is encouraged. Small or large, firms can put up roadblocks to learning. A site with reviews by employees of their employers is glassdoor.com.
